Moon Maiden Alhana 1

Now introducing the first of three elven characters from Arc Arath, Alhana the Moon Maiden. She is the oldest and most stoic of the three Forest Maidens of Meadows (the elven commune where the heroes first meet and befriend Tasera Alleigra - see the other galleries on my page ^-^ ), spiritually-attuned elven women tasked with the upkeep of the central Leylian grasslands and in particular the magical barrier that keeps wild animals and monsters from drawing near the Meadows commune.

Alhana was envisioned as looking similar to the other two Maidens, but stands out with light-purple to dark-pink hair. We could not decide whether the Forest Maidens should appear childlike, as in this particular image, or adult women closer to middle age, so you may see a mix of both in the upcoming art.

NOTE: Alhana is named after one of the more prominent elven characters in the Dragonlance books, while her title as the Moon Maiden is a reference to the culture of the town of Cleyra in Final Fantasy IX.
